Most of us tend to have a couple of snacks during the day. It’s important to choose your snacks wisely.

You may eat the healthiest lunches in the office, but all of those salad greens and sandwiches on whole-grain breads won’t amount to much if you’re noshing on junk between meals. Junk food such as potato chips or candy bars won’t help power you through the noon. The right snacks can help you focus mentally by taking the edge off the hunger and can provide a much-needed energy boost until the next meal.

So how do you find healthy office snacks and avoid all the junk ? Your best bet is to arm yourself by always having smart snacks within easy reach. After all, enjoying a small snack is never a bad idea!

1. Dried Fruits

Fruit is a great office snack because it’s compact and portable. If you get bored with ordinary fruits pack some dried fruits and chew on them to keep you full through the day.

 

2. Nuts and Seeds

Make the swap and choose nuts & seeds over chips for a crunchy alternative. They’re the best snacks to nibble on when the 3 PM hunger pangs strike.

 

3.Peanut Butter and Apple

How about slathering a little peanut butter on apple slices? There is no nutritional difference between smooth and crunchy peanut butter, so take your pick!

 

4. Crackers & Cheese

Slice some cheese over crispy whole wheat crackers and enjoy the crunch till the last bite. Extremely low in calories and high in all nutrients, they’re a much better option than the fried fare.

 

5. Yogurt and berries

If proteins is what you are looking for, yogurt will take you places. Grab a bowl of fresh yogurt and stir in a handful of dried berries and you’re good to go.
